While many of us were enjoying the holidays, Appcast Labor Economist Andrew Flowers was busy at work, reviewing last year’s labor market challenges and providing insight into what 2022 might hold. Andrew was Bill Banham’s guest on the HRchat Podcast on December 30.
Among the topics discussed were the Covid recession and the subsequent demand-driven recovery, the fundamental mismatch between labor supply and demand, and the shadow labor force.
In addition, Andrew talked about the rise of quitting, as well as the potential impact of federal legislation on labor force participants.
